GENEVIEVE BROWN

BHSc (Phys), BSc (Pharmcol).

I studied for three years at Auckland University towards a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacology, before deciding to embark on my Physiotherapy studies.  I was always interested in health sciences and chose Physiotherapy as a career that would provide both a diverse and stimulating career, and rewarding patient interactions.

I graduated from the Auckland University of Technology in 2004 with a Bachelor of Health Science (Physiotherapy).  During the course of my studies I worked in a variety of physiotherapy settings including private practices, Middlemore and Rotorua Hospitals in the cardiorespiratory, surgical and ICU wards, and a student neurological physiotherapy clinic.

I was fortunate in being invited to complete my final student placement here at the Remuera Physiotherapy Clinic and following my graduation joined the team as a Physiotherapist.  I enjoy all aspects of musculoskeletal physiotherapy, but have a special interest in sports injuries, spinal problems and body posture and alignment.

I am currently having a short break from physiotherapy to stay at home with my two young daughters.  I am enjoying still being involved with the clinic as the administration manager.
